  • Since there is no thread where you can write your opinion on PvP, I'll do one.

How do you like the current PvP system, the balance, etc.?

In my opinion, a lot still needs to be changed, for example:

    1. There are far too few players in PvP, because after S+ rank you almost always meet the same players and it is the same in the S ++ / Star area.

    2. Equip in PvP matters a lot, because players who use sparring gear can be 'oneshotted' from 200-300MP skills by other players who use a +11/12 FoJ.
    3. There is a bug in PvP where you don't lose % after you lose a match (if the player leaves directly after the match starts where "Fight!" is written, the bug is also in Ereda, but you have to leave directly before you lose to not lose any % (Unfortunately these bugs have not been fixed yet)

    4. Some players are carried into the top 10 by other players and it is difficult to prove it and unfortunately that only works so well because there is not so much going on in the S + S ++ area at late times, or no one queues at all.

    5. Since PvP is not that active, it is possible that you will meet the same player in several matches in a row.
    6. "Lag" is a big problem when you play a class that is not so much into ranged combat, but you can get used to it, but if there is 2 seconds of lag and an FB plays against a Minerva, for example, the FB will always lose if both are at the same skill level and have similar gear.

    7. The hackers that you meet are also a big problem, those who are obviously doing it or who are difficult to recognize (eg those who push their stats like red. DMG or speed) and the problem is that you can't see their equip because these players are in the guild base.

    8. Many players still catch with awakening, or certain skills that give a short delay or they wait until someone runs into a combo that has super armor. Not to mention that there are still force skills, in my opinion KoG should change that. Since this has nothing to do with "Skill" and if you look at PvP Season 1 or 2, it was completely different from now and you still had to think about how to catch the opponent.
    9. Skills like Andromeda, in my opinion, have no business in PvP and every character has got one since the reboot.
    10. There are classes that are extremely overpowered in PvP, based on 1v1 that would be e.g. EtW, CC, FL, ES, CS, etc. or classes that are extremely overpowered in 2v2 such as Oz, DaB, FL etc.

I can't think of anything else, but if something is missing I can still write it down.

I haven't done PvP for a long time and today I wanted to test how it is when you do PvP with sparring gear these days, you can see for yourself because I recorded it (except for the first 3 matches, but that shouldn't be too bad)

I also had very bad stats such as 10% run and jump speed, but with Laby in general this is not so bad (even after the nerfs)

I also noticed that they nerfed Labys hitbox.

The matches were also edited into the video in the correct order:

Elsword Europe ~ SparGear PvP [Nisha vs +11/12 players] - YouTube

    u9i7KgN.jpg

    4. Match from 00:00 against a RH

    5. Match from 02:59 against the same RH

    6. Match at 05:33 against a Devi

    7. Match from 08:50 against the same Devi

    8. Match from 13:54 against the same Devi (again)

    9. Match from 15:40 against a KE

    10. Match from 18:41 against the same KE

You can find the "OneShots" at 21:14

It is also problematic that I could not attack aggressively because I hardly had any speed socket, but even after the "nerfs" Laby still does not care about that.

EtW is even more broken than Nisha in PvP.

Hope you guys enjoyed my rusty gameplay.

I'm curious to hear your opinions on the current PvP.

I'm also sorry if my english is bad, but I used a translator, since I didn't want to rewrite my whole text from the original german thread:

    Eure Meinung zum PvP

  • there is nothing to discuss, everyone with a half-functioning brain will notice the obvious flaws from pvp and that is okay, there are pvp focused discords for it

explaining how exploits work and posting it in a forum is a very good idea, i will be sure to NOT abuse it and im sure neither will the rest of the people who just read over this thread

  • I mean yeah, nothing really new about this, even though it's nice to talk about it from time to time.
    Though this bugged me

You know what else was considered "unskilled" in PvP season 1 or 2 ? Spamming WWW loop like you do in the video you added in your message

Not saying it's not fine to play like that, but it's just like catching with awakening and skills ... it's just a way to play, if you don't like it, well, ok, but I don't think KoG would do anything on a subjective flaw when people were already doing it at the very beginning of this game . It was unpopular to brag about it, yeah, but everyone seriously trying to win was doing it except some people in custom pvp rooms.
It isn't annoying to catch with awakening/skills imo, it gets problematic when some characters are so unbalanced that they can do that again & again & again (BULLETBLITZAAAAAAAAAAAAH) with very few counters, but then, it's not the same issue is it ?

Tbh I so rarely play PvP anymore, even though I used to, so my opinion may be outdated, but I think most of it still applies

  • My opinion and some points that bothered me about your post

    Existent

Edited 3 times, last by Raid ().

  • Honestly anything is fine with me except the players from Latin America in PvP. Or at least those whose PING is absurd. It is ridiculous, it doesn't even feel like playing Elsword against them and it is just incredibly unfair. Many classes have an enormous advantage in such laggy conditions. Of all the things pvp could be improved in, this is what stops me from wanting to queue arena

    Aka Ariela

    IT - DE - EN

That's true but I usually experienced a big lag against ES players (maybe most of them are from Mexico? I don't know honestly)

There is laggy EN players sometimes but it's more rare and FR, IT, PL, DE are usually fine for me

  • There is laggy EN players sometimes but it's more rare and FR, IT, PL, DE are usually fine for me

A really good number of EN players are also coming from South America too, that could explain those who lags.

Again, it happens that some people just have shitty internet lmao

Yep, that's why it would be better if people would get kicked out if their ping is too high or if their internet is too slow. I don't think that there will be changes in the future, but I remember people got banned for lagging in Elsword KR altough I am not completly sure about it.

I remember there was a suggestion to make an IP block for players who aren't playing from Europe but I think it was declined? Even if it would happen, I think they would lose a lot players, like from America, Mexico (EN, ES etc) and there is also some people from Africa who speak french (FR)

They will never make it sadly , most of the player base is from latin america .

  • I noticed that sometimes if you queue for PvP and the match starts that you can not move your character for 10 seconds or more.

Did anyone else encountered the same issue as me?

MMOBA Even if they would make it, Arena would be more dead than it is now. If you try PvP on your alt characters, you can notice that PvP can be still dead at low ranks too, not only in high ranks. The bigger issue is, that there is no rewards for doing PvP unless you talk about the weekly quest.

Yes. It can even happen during the match which makes this bug much more hilarious.

It happened twice to me, do you maybe know a way how to avoid it? It's either server lag or something else causing it.

It's more strange that your opponent can still move, while you can't do it yourself.

I remember playing NA in the past but it never happened to me there,

    it's probably only EU related?

    oie-3-EYq7-Ld-Ae-NVp.jpg

  • Oh, then you had an other bug than i had.

It just sometimes happend to me that right in the middle of a match suddenly everyone couldn't move anymore (but we could chat, so we chatted lol)

No idea how to avoid any of this though.
