Process

This wasn't intended to be a stylized drawing. I just wanted to paint it like everything else but lately i'm just so dissatisfied with my art style?? Like, it's beautiful and I love all the details especially on the face & hair but everything else is just meh.

I want to paint more abstractly, I love that kinda smudged look so much but faces are so difficult to paint like that, so I'm basically just swapping the parts I liked to draw most vs least rn I'm so done with myself

And maybe I should've taken a closer look at the ref because I completely neglected it when I drew the head/neck like wtf

I'd like to try out more stuff like this, maybe I could make it look good.. if I was actually consistent

I painted it the same way as Suga but it didn't turn out the same way...

Like.. firstly, I put waaay more detail into this, maybe that's a factor.. and I also couldn't find a good colour for the layer mode at the end..

It's so difficult because I really like the way it turned out but it's not the way I initially intended and aargh

maybe gotta practice more with fullbodies instead of portraits, so I can't focus on details as much..

Und gosh THANKS A LOT für die ganzen Refs zu Perspektive ich liebe deine Zeichnung weil das einzige was mich gestört hat waren wirklich die Gebäude und ich weiß nicht ob man's sieht aber ich hab echt daran gestruggled und am Ende immer noch nicht gemocht. Ich wusste da muss Perspektive rein aber war schon in der Schule absolut grauenhaft darin und konnte es nicht deshalb wollt ich's gar nicht erst versuchen ;; xd

Aber bei dir sieht das so easy und verständlich aus wow, have to try that out next time

I'm in love with my inconsistency heh.not Tumblr and Instagram refused to upload my most recent drawing, maybe cuz it was too ugly lol

So I just.. I really don't know why I did this. I actually started this as a "normal" drawing but I don't like it for whatever reason.

I really wanted to draw Jin as well and this is not the way I initially intended but it's got more dynamics than my first idea so I'm happy with it.

I really miss my portraits, I loved the detail I put into them so much.

But I also enjoy drawing sceneries like I did with Jungkook

Okay so I got a new iPad for university and now since I finished my last exam on Friday I wanted to try out drawing on it.

Had to get used to the new program and the brushes and everything so the beginning was really effing hard ;;

Gotta make a new brush for hair tho because I dislike this so much compared to the fluffy stuff I had with SAI .-.

I also went from 3h-4h till finished drawing to 11h, we’re making progress guys not

7h laut Procreate hier dran, auf jeden Fall schonmal besser als letztes Mal

Hab mir auch nen neuen Brush für Haare erstellt und es ist definitiv besser als vorher aber 100% zufrieden bin ich immer noch nicht, mal gucken ob sich da was findet

Proportionen waren ne absolute Qual, wie ich einfach nichts kann :’)

Heavy art block cuz I felt like I was too bad for anything in terms of proportions and shading and basically everything

So I did these (and like 10 plain structure studies) to find a way how to figure out the head part actually works

Wird aber wahrscheinlich nichts festes. Der Anfang hat mir mega gut gefallen wegen dem Brush (sah überall so aus wie am Shirt) aber als ich halt mit Details angefangen hab ist es untergegangen.. und sieht nur noch eckig aus statt nach nem richtigen Paintbrush

And a second version of those again because I thought the colors were a little bit boring? And I liked the newer ones more when I made them but now I think the original ones look more natural and therefore prettier?? I can't decide???

Depending on your device the color difference might be big or barely noticeable.

Doesn't matter that much but I wanted to post both~

Inspired by the songs Fake Love and Serendipity by BTS, which didn't initially go together but combined convey that concept of one's true self behind a fake mask;

in this case being portrayed and seen as an angel when you truly have darkness inside of you, lying to and manipulating others by putting up a facade, yet suffering from it yourself since you never perceive true acceptance and love.

Maybe I'm being too deep wow

This started as some happy angel thing but I loved adding some concept and actual visual atmosphere in it.

I already tried with Namjoon but I was only able to put the concept in an not the atmosphere, so I'm happier with this result

Der Farbumschwung von weiß auf schwarz war Absicht, so in dem Sinne he was an angel, he was pure but he gave in to temptation and got tainted. Vielleicht wäre von schwarz auf weiß besser gewesen aber dann hätte das mit seiner Erscheinung nicht gepasst und idk

Mit Kleidung bin ich immer faul, ich mag die nicht so :') aber ich bemühe mich das beim nächsten Mal besser zu machen!

Hab das Gefühl durch den ständigen Farbumschwung hab ich zero consistency in meinen Bildern.. eigentlich ist das gut weil's so nicht eintönig ist aber uff, man kann's mir nie recht machen

Und ich musste schmunzeln als ich gelesen hab ich hätte Geduld beim zeichnen, weil buddy, I don't 😂😂

Something of emotional value for me because it is something I see way too often on the internet.

People insult and look down on K-Pop and idols just because they are different from what we get fed with day by day and it's just so wrong because these are just humans like everyone else on this damn planet and they are working so incredibly hard to be able to deliver only the best to their fans and have a positive impact on people.

I respect them so much for what they do and they only deserve love in my eyes because they give so much love. Unconditionally.

And they go through so much pain and hardships just for their fans. Just because they want to make other people happy.

Because love knows no barriers. Not distance, not language, not appearance.

Honestly the moment I saw the photo I thought of something like this but I didn't believe I could pull it off this well.

Tried a more smudged art style again and I gotta say this one's much better than my older attempts

Cuz u are supposed to see that it's not a photo, it's art, but it's also not too smudged to lose all the details? Idk how to explain

It's not perfect yet but a step forward I feel

And have been putting A LOT more effort in all the details, clothes as well

Edit: ahfgshs okay I just noticed the colors are so much worse like??

I put RAINBOWS in his eyes and now it's just grey I'm sad.
