Patch issue

    I am a returning player, and used to download Elsword from the website and play it from the computer files.

    I have installed Elsword on Steam and the launcher shows up, as usual. However, the patching never moves from 0% with the sentence "Downloading files from the patch path". I have tried bypassing/turning off firewall and antivirus, reinstalling the game (hopefully I wont need to do that again), verifying game files, and launching the game from Steam file. None worked. The launcher also cannot be closed with a cancel or Steam 'Stop' button except Task Manager's 'End Task'. Am I missing something?:?:

    First things first, have you tried downloading the game from the official site?

    Unless you've got a reason to use steam to run Elsword, I would recommend downloading the game using the above method.


    If you rather stick to Steam to run the game, here are some recommendations that usually fixes common Steam game launch issues if you haven't tried them already:

    - Running both Steam and the game (Elsword Free-to-play for EU server) as Administrator

    - Open the game's Properties to check game files and update it if needed.

    since you said you are a returning player who played via the application i think its worth mentioning that the steam version has its own account in case you want to still play on your old account

    I was about to say that I have downloaded the Installer from the site and the issue is still present but apparently your link is different, and the game from your link appears to be working normally. The site in which I downloaded from before is from the first result I get from googling 'Elsword'. Thank you for the link.

    In any case, my issue is pretty much resolved. I have tried pasting Steam's Elsword 'data' files into the new Elsword folder, and it is currently 'patching' the game as I am typing this.
