if not logged in for X days (for each character) your name will be reset and the respective character will get sent a nick namechange

UNLESS you are making a ticket at the support saying that you CANNOT log in during specific days/weeks/months

this will prevent people who aim to sell the name or keep anyone else from choosing the specific name

it is a scummy thing to do, if you do not use the name for its intended purpose you dont deserve to keep it

I'd also like to point out that yours is an easily exploitable suggestion, as someone could just create a character and not login with it for X days just to get a free namechange.

I really like this idea, but I think that a nickname can be removed only after an extended period of time like weeks or months. There are a lot of players that don't come back to play since years...

Only even worth considering freeing up inactive names if you actually prevent it being abused, like by disallowing name trading entirely. Is only going to create the same situation again and again otherwise.
