What were you thinking when creating this?
firstly yes, thats dimitri, it was supposed to be a birthday gift for someone who really likes him!
ive tried to convey a sort of melancholic and tragic character who has to keep going despite being burdened with his own choices (edgy, ikr?)
originally, i would have loved to have a wartorn background, but alas i didnt have enough time because i already struggled to paint the character himself (choosing a fitting posture, trying to paint the attire more realistically)
thats why i had the background be something that reminds of a deserted place, and the colors rather unsaturated to compliment that
though i have to say, that i dont think that much when it comes to drawing.. i just try to emphasize character traits in the whole painting and having a fitting atmosphere or scene
