    first of all let me introduce myself.

    My IG nickname is Sheruvia/Kaiserin/Shalynne from DE Server and I played this game from 2011 to 2017.

    I really loved this game. It was my whole childhood. I spend a lot of money for cosmetics etc (dont tell my parents pls) and right now all my stuff is just laying around for nothing since 7 years.


    I want to do a big tournament where I gonna give my stuff away for free. Im not sure if my cosmetics are worth something or people are interested in it.


    TL;DR:

    1. Is a fair and fun PvP tournament still possible? (Are random disconnects, lags caused by the merge still an issue?)

    2. Are some people here willing to help me? I have no clue what the actual state of the game is neither the effort/ time i have to invest. People who are willing to help me organizing it will get a rewards from the price pool.

    3. I have no ED but a lot of avatar, maybe rare cosmetics and +11 equipment from 2017.


    I love this game so much in my childhood and I want to give the community (especially the newer players) something back.

    It hurts seeing this game dying when it was a big part of my youth and I thought a big PvP tournament with good prices would be a great idea.


    Feel free to share it and give me suggestions. Typing here feels like an old boomer who is now figuring out how a smartphone works lmao

    However, let's be realistic.

    Currently, PVP boils down to casting your optimized spell as quickly as possible in order to one-shot the opponent.

    The number of free PVP rooms (at any time) is between 0 and 3 (closer to 0).

    The old PVP community (hello the FR community in 2012, which had a sense of fair play at that time) for the most part no longer plays the game.

    Certainly a tournament with strict rules could be interesting (PVP Stuff only with equivalent weapons, No El Resonance Points, No Title, No Eldrit Enchantment other Wind / Dark, etc...) but I fear that too many current players will find this precisely "Too much restrictive".

    So, i'll give a +1 if you able to doing it in the good conditions and I would be delighted to be able to give advice regarding the settlement part if by chance you manage to organize that.

    If it was something like Yu-Gi-Oh!, you could just play another format.

    An Elsword 2008ish tournament might be interesting, but is impossible for a lot of reasons.

    my idea is it to do a tournament where you will be rewarded for a win and style points.

    In my era people smashed their keyboards for sweeping and combos for the swag (without killing the enemy with Hyperskills)


    the idea is:

    -1vs1/2vs2

    - no stat checking

    -pure skill, no one shots, no unfair abusing

    - no lags

    - no toxicity

    - just ATK/ Movement speed and adjustments which doesn’t break the game

    A tournament in todays Elsword?

    A PvE-one could/may be more advised.


    PvP?!

    P2P aka Peer-to-Peer netcode of this game is so 2011 (+~/~-no response from server). No IP-Banns for IPS beyond the EU (like Africa and USA) are putting the cherry on the Cake-of-Unfair-PvP (mostly ES-taged players but don't want to derail). And P2P seems to favors players with poor conection for... some reason.


    PvP once the true "Endgame" for Elboomer like myself (Pre Season, S1 ,S2. *) is now a "Who lands first skill wins GG" gamemode like an earlier poster already fittingly noted. Not that I have an Engame-weapon, much-more-less so of two-digit-+-value *ROFL*. But belive me I was, more than once, on the recieving end!


    Tl;Dr: PvP is not Elsword's strongsuit anymore (to put it [very] nicely), PvE seems to be, where the "Devs" want thier game, so maybe PvE Tournament ... or Hide-and-Seek?


    Personal Thoughts for TC

    I hope you come/came to an satisfying descison ... without regrets :)
