I think we could do it as well in the FR, then the option got removed and latery re-introduced as a winning price. IIRC the argument was "it was a privilege for the people back in the early days", technically we're in the exact same situation with the new EU forum aren't we?

Somewhat off topic, but is the team also aware of the fact, that user's opinions on the subject do matter? The suggestion was not made to inform the team, but the community, it is addressed towards the community as an effort to bring awareness to those, who can at least speak English, since German does not seem to be the language of the people. I'd say the people at large would prefer self-determination (of user titles) as a right rather than a privilege for the elites.
Hello Comrade Yuri , of course that user opinion matters! After all the forum is for users, not for the team. But there are changes that must be approved by higher ranks so we can only forward it. If they didn't change it I'm sure that they have good reasons for it, because as said, all this is for users.

Well, the highest user-visible authority are the board admins, so that kinda sounds like the opinions of the team not lining up with the opinions of the users. Of course "highest user-visible" is not necessary "highest" altogether, but some large fish within Gameforge not liking the feature would be the same problem at a different level. Appealing to their reasons without naming any is a logical fallacy. In the same vein, German moderation appealed to reasons among their ranks without justifying the actual reasons they laid out.
I'm not going to shoot you for being the messenger, and neither should others. However, for the sake of discussing the suggestion at hand, arguments in favour of or against it should be laid out, as should technical limitations, if any exist. If possible, they should be laid out by those holding them. I understand, that some higher authority can make you argue on their behalf, you could decorate their opinions for instance by clearly stating that they're not your own – although we can observe obstruction through information hiding; I find it likely, they don't want any of that happening. My personal opinion is that you should not have to justify them to us if they don't justify themselves to you, but we both know that companies act different from that. In this sense I feel with you in the same way as I feel with users in support of this suggestion, the difference being that this platform only allows me to verbally support the latter and even that just to the degree tolerated by the team.
