and at least 3200mhz C16 RAM (at least that's recommended for early Ryzen CPUs, 3600mhz is around optimal
got it now, so the RAM-speed does support the CPU performance..

The Laptop you have is about the same as what i would've had in sight, so that's promising.
Im already caring about my PC, but thanks for the reminder.
..On my PC, i just compared the rise in CPU/GPU/RAM usage in those scenarios the game starts dropping frames in.
..noticed how the RAM is stuck on maximal ~2GB of usage, so Elsword is just running in 32-Bit? (got 8GB of RAM, while maximal 70% is being used from the PC, in this scenario)
The Ryzen CPUs seem pretty good, especially since the Ryzen 3 1200 sets the series by already bringing such a great performance boost. (Though on paper, this model seems to just have 25% better single-core performance than mine..)
Seems affordable and worth the upgrade, buying the needed parts cheaply in used condition would give the Laptops some time to drop in pricing, too.
..3200mhz 16GB RAM huh? Doesn't seem comparable to my current ~1600mhz 8GB... but really, does it significantly supports the performance of Elsword?
It doesn't seem that my GPU is bottlenecking nor affecting the games performance at all, honestly. The old one had about 1000 TFLOPS, while my current one has about 3000 TFLOPS...so yeah (same relation in GPU benchmarking)
Well the game's software really doesn't do it's part i guess.. just hope that there is a way to get this game perform better without having to overwhelm it with great PC-specs, but to just break down the necessary things like: this single-core performance of the CPU + x GB of RAM running at x mhz + something like that GPU
..there are many people around who might just need to change a part of their setup to get the game running, while still being able to do their other's applications-stuff just fine... well just like me, i guess. Thanks for your replies so far, really is helping me on a decision, too

Doe anyone has a suggestion for a good..
...or some experience with upgrading their CPU for being capable of playing Elsword lag-free?
Surely without having to reach out for high-end stuff, regarding that this old game just seems to have bad optimization, which should be counterable with a fast x-core CPU?
My experience so far is that upgrading my graphics card, besides the old one never to have struggled with this game, hadn't make a difference at all.
While I still have an AMD FX-8350 8-Core (4GHZ), the game runs at 2FPS in Varnymir Raids with just a BL or Sariel on the side.
(
...imo, theoretically there needs to be a CPU handling single-thread applications just astoundingly well for it to make a difference, as in reality 30-60FPS in Raids couldn't be too hard to get.
(Didn't found one CPU just doing twice as good compared to my current one)So I don't see how raw comparison or benchmarks could make one achieve great FPS by just stopping ones PC component from bottlenecking?
In that case... someone knows of a Laptop (or it's combination of CPU/GPU) capable of playing Elsword significantly better?
In my case, thats an alternative for upgrading my PC)
UPDATED:
got myself a 30% faster single-core speed CPU, the Ryzen 3 2200g.
Upgraded from: dual-channel DDR3 1600MHZ -> dual-channel DDR4 2933MHZ.
new Mainboard.
...and compared the perfomance between my RX 460 and a HD 7770, which didn't made a significant difference.
After all, the games performance, especially regarding the lag-spikes, is way better! There hasn't been a situation for me to have just 2FPS
BUT
the game still just runs at around 5 - 15FPS in varnymir raids and 15-4.
Soo this particular upgrade wasn't really worth it imo, guess you'd need a way better CPU (while the Ryzen 3 2200g sits at around 100€, while it's single-core perfomance is okay-ish) for somewhat decent FPS in raids.
And as IbukiHimari stated in this thread, there is way more to wrap your head around besides raw statistics, for example how the RAMs specifications and configuration affects the CPUs performance (for Ryzen CPUs it can make a HUGE difference)....
so yeah, you're better off just buying a midclass, up-to-date computer/laptop

it's a known bug.
You could just type the name you want and check availability and grammatic through creating the character, there's another screen after where you get asked to actually create the specified character.
To reset your name entry, if you misspelle the name, just cancel the screen where you'd enter the name
