Hello Comrade Yuri , of course that user opinion matters! After all the forum is for users, not for the team. But there are changes that must be approved by higher ranks so we can only forward it. If they didn't change it I'm sure that they have good reasons for it, because as said, all this is for users.
If this changes I will let you know, but cannot say more for now

I use the full image but I'm more careful with the white part since that's what is shown on PC.

There's nothing to do with how the banner works, it's a bit annoying but anyway this is the template I made trying 232454 times how a banner on max size works.

The white part is the visible one, hope it helps you =)
The size is adapted automatically depending on the platform you're using. For example... If you are on the mobile you see the full image... But max sizes are 2000x800 if I don't remember wrong.

Well, my opinion is quite similar to @Comrade Yuri's one. I do not really see the point of adding it due megaphones. Yeah it's normal that sometimes you don't have more megaphones but you can always poke a friend if it's urgent.
Even tho I must admit that your idea about the last 2 min is really good!
