Hello!
In this guide I want to show how to report scammers the right way.
!!! ATTENTION !!! In this guide NOBODY was scammed for real! This is just an EXAMPLE.
1. The complete trade agreement
To report a Scammer successfully, the Game Masters have to understand how the trade was supposed to be done. This means that you should answer the following questions with your INGAME screenshots (just Elsword, not Discord or other platforms):
1. WHAT is traded? (If you trade El Coins, then you can write down the value (for example 200,000 ED for one El Coin) and the amount of the El Coins. Obviously you also have to name the desired Item!)
2. HOW are you going to trade? (Item/ED first? Will you go first? The other player?)
3. Confirmation of both trade partners
On this example item names may be incorrect, however, you should always use the CORRECT item names to prevent any misunderstandings.
2. The trade window
Here it's important to see the added items from both sides and how the trade is confirmed. If you trade ED then it is especially important to screen the red number in the inventory to show that the ED really left your Inventory. Attention: The red number is only there for a brief period of time!
3. Not getting the desired Items
Now you are expecting the notification that you got a Cash Shop item. But it doesn't happen. Then scammer deletes you from your friend list and disappear. Now you should screen for the support that you didn't get the item.
4. The report for the support
With your unchanged screenshots, you can now go to the support and report the scammer. You can upload your screenshots directly on the support system but if the files are too big you may use other sites such as https://abload.de/, https://imgur.com and any other image hosting.
Use direct links.
If you had made a video, then it should be unlisted so that you can only access the video with the link.
The support system can be accessed via this link https://elsword.support.gameforge.com/index.php?fld=ww (or directly via the forums clicking on Support). Don't know how to use the support system? Look up this other helpful guide: How to add an e-mail address to your support account?
I hope this little guide helps you to banish scammers!
This guide has won the seal of approval of the Game Team of Elsword UK. Special thanks to Nexxon for her guide.
